Ventures West Transport LP was established in May 1989 as a common carrier, specializing in bulk commodities, and focusing on operations in the four Western Provinces, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

The company has been operated by its President and Owner, Glenn Bauer since incorporation in 1989. Mr. Bauer has over 20 years experience in bulk liquids transportation.

Ventures West areas of specialization include bulk fuel hauling in northern Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and in the Yukon via the Alaska highway. Part of this operation includes dedicated units for aviation products. Additionally, a portion of the fleet is in calcium chloride service for dust control and road stabilization projects, for oilfield service, and for the cement industry. These units also haul liquid fertilizer solutions in the spring and fall.

Our fleet consists of 207 Super B tankers, and 60 company owned heavy spec tractors. As well, we have 347 owner operators pulling our trailers. Each year, new equipment is added to maintain a late model upgraded fleet. Additionally, we have, on fleet, several older tandem tankers for use as fuel bowsers, and 7 tridem tankers set up for spraying calcium chloride on road projects.

Much of the work done by the company has a considerable amount of seasonality to it. During the spring, summer, and fall, the fuel units are kept busy with various projects and contracts on the Alaska Highway and hauling farm fuels. During the winter months, these units are available for projects hauling to northern mines.

Since 1989, Ventures West Transport LP has been building a reputation as a quality bulk commodities carrier with a sharp focus on safety, employee, and customer satisfaction. Contact us today to find out how we can meet your bulk transportation needs.
